Cantering away from the Links.
Quite warm but a little overcast.
A routine exercise morning for most, although we took a handful of two-year-olds to Racecourse Side third lot to further their education.
I was delighted with Naizah’s run at Chelmsford yesterday. She was off the bridle some way out but stuck to her task well, while she was only outgunned by a more experienced rival close home. The winner boasted a fair level of form and our filly looks capable of landing a similar event in the coming weeks.
It was good to welcome Grainne, our old physiotherapist and current university lecturer, back to the yard alongside eight of her students for a demonstration of we use the spa and treadmill in the daily training routine. We hope they enjoyed their morning.
Two declarations for Friday with Times Up heading to Ascot for the Brown Jack and Sagaciously running in the mile and a half handicap at the July Course.
Four entries for next Tuesday spearheaded by Oasis Fantasy in the Summer Handicap on day one of Glorious Goodwood. The Glorious meeting is my favourite of the year and I am looking forward to heading back to the south coast next week.
More tomorrow.
