A cheeky Pyla.
30 degrees and sunshine.
Three runners today starting with Mulhaam in the seven furlong maiden at Chepstow. He shaped a bit better than the bare result on debut at Doncaster, but he’s been off since then and is entitled to need the run.
Taqneen wears blinkers for the first time this season up at Newcastle and he has proved a little disappointing this year. However, excuses can be made for his last couple of starts, this is a drop in grade and he ran ok at the course last time.
Lastly, Scrutinise lines up in the mile and three handicap at Kempton following his withdrawal at the weekend due to the ground quickening up. The extra furlong will suit him and he acts well on synthetics, although a 5lb rise for winning a Chelmsford maiden auction seemed a little steep at the time.
One declaration for Friday with Qeyaadah heading to Haydock for the seven furlong novice heat. He has yet to be allotted a mark and this should give us a better idea of where we stand with him.
Red Galileo has been left in Sunday’s Prix de Reux at Deauville and that race remains a possibility.
He also got two entries for Velifendi’s September meeting this morning, while Manndawi was given a Group 3 option in Ireland and Red Cadeaux entered in the Grand Prix de Deauville.
Two domestic entries for Tuesday with Hajeer and Al Hamd possibilities for Lingfield.
Back tomorrow.
