Good morning from Newmarket! Today we head to Kempton with a couple of runners, including one two-year-old filly whose presence on a racecourse will always deliver an extra layer of excitement.
The filly in question is Virgin Snow, daughter of our former wondermare Snow Fairy and the exciting first-season sire Gleneagles. Virgin Snow maded a most satisfactory start to her career when fourth at Doncaster around six weeks ago, and now steps up to a mile in the fillies novice at 5.55. Her mother won on the AW as a young horse, so we are hoping that the surface will pose no issues, and this filly is definitely now ready for her second bit of racecourse action. Jim Crowley will be in the saddle.
Our second runner of the evening is Sporting Times in the mile and three-furlong handicap at 7.55. This horse has a good record around Kempton and is ready to make his return from over a year on the sidelines. He is as fit as we can reasonably have him without having had a run, but there is no doubt that he will improve enormously for the outing. Ryan Moore takes the reins.
All the best,
Ed.
