The Beast From The East has started throwing some serious punches this morning and the snow is now falling heavily. We have managed to get all the horses out this morning but with more snow forecast later today and temperatures set to plummet overnight, tomorrow might be difficult.
King Kevin has made it to Wolverhampton and I hope they miss the worst of the weather and racing goes ahead there this afternoon. This looks easier than the last race he ran in when he looked like he ran into a horse well ahead of his mark in Regicide. Galconda Prince has some solid placed form but remains a Maiden. Perceived was not far behind us here two runs back but we did miss the break significantly that day and she has since been well beaten at Newcastle. Echo Brava has done most of his winning over further but has slipped to a handy mark. Sword Of The Lord is a winner over 10f who has currently lost his way and Thecornishbarron is another who has significantly fallen down the weights but needs to discover some form. Blue Rocks has been struggling and steps up in trip here.
King Kevin is the form horse and I hope he can continue to hold his form as he has had a busy Winter. He seems in good nick at home and looks well and after Newcastle’s abandonment Rab Havlin is going to ride him given he knows him so well. He seems to enjoy Wolverhampton and is unbeaten there and we just have to hope that one of his rivals doesn’t have a dramatic return to peak form.
