Ahdab
Good morning from Newmarket. After Jabalaly’s excellent win at Kempton on Monday, we return to the same venue with the newcomer Ahdab in the seven-furlong two-year-old novice at 6.00 this evening. Let us hope we can keep up the good work!
This young horse is a son of Shamardal out of our 2009 Royal Ascot winning filly Habaayib, so is therefore a sibling of former La Grange winners Ejbaar and Mawsool.
He has always shown up well in his work and should have a good future ahead of him, so it will be very interesting to see how he performs. We have toyed with running him on a couple of occasions a little earlier in the season, but the consensus has always been that he needed a little more time to develop. Hopefully he will show the benefit of that patient approach and give us some encouragement - but like all of our juveniles he will inevitably improve for the outing.
