Ed and Becky have flown over to Ireland to witness the unveiling of Snow Fairy’s Statue, at Leopardstown Racecourse. Snow Fairy ran at the Irish track, twice, finishing second to So You Think, in The Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes G1 in 2011. Snow Fairy went one better the following year, beating the John Gosden trained, Nathaniel by 1 ¼ lengths and the A P O’Brein trained, St Nicholas Abbey. This was Snow Fairy’s last race and is a fitting tribute to such a wonderful mare, who not only provided so much joy and excitement for everyone at La Grange Stables, but also to all her fans, across the globe. Snow Fairy’s owner, Mrs Patino kindly donated the statue to the racecourse and was there to help with the unveiling. There was also another special guest to help with the proceedings: Snow Fairy made a guest appearance and seemed to really enjoy the afternoon, basking in the Irish sunshine. She is in foal to Mrs Patino’s Stallion, Elusive Pimpernel, and is very much enjoying, retired life.
