It has been an overcast morning here at HQ and I am off to Yarmouth where I hope there will not be too much rain. The worst of it would seem to be coming after racing has finished.
Fabulous Red shaped with promise last night and I may well bring her back in trip to a mile.
We run three horses this afternoon. Muraadef runs in the second division of the Novice at 2:55. He shaped with some promise on debut last year but this is a very warm race. Without Parole showed an abundance of talent on debut and I will be pleased if our horse can show us something for the future. Baasha showed more on his last start at Brighton when third. He can be a little lazy at home but I hope he will be a horse that gives us some fun this year and this looked a good starting point. Cristal Spirit looks the obvious improver in a race that is hard to assess as there is not much form on offer. Dawn Dancer is consistent and Finisher improved last time when a good second. Indian Warrior is our final runner and as long as the ground does not go softer than good I would hope he will run well. He had excuses when disappointing and was generally consistent last year. This is a very competitive race with two well handicapped sorts at the top of the market but he doesn’t deserve to be the outsider of the field and looks to represent small each way value against them.
