Catterick winner: Tibr
Tibr headed up to Catterick to contest a four runner 6f Novice event on the back of a good fourth in a Listed contest won by Mokarris. The son of Distorted Humour was returning from a short break but we were confident that his class would see him prevail in this small field. Silvestre De Sousa had him in the box seat in the early stages of the race tracking the leader Sir Viktor. Having settled well in behind the leader De Sousa edged our colt out and he hit the front as they approached the final furlong before smoothly drawing away to win comfortably by three lengths.
It will be very difficult for the handicapper to adjust our horse’s 92 rating as he won this race as he was entitled to. Whilst it was a very easy victory the second horse was only rated 80. It was very pleasing how our colt saw his race out and we hope it will boost his confidence ahead of more difficult assignments in the future.
Congratulations to Tibr’s owner Mr Al Naboodah who has been a big supporter of La Grange this season. This was the 44th winner of the season for us in 2016 and we hope we can now build some momentum and move towards the fifty winner mark for the year.
