Not guilty, supposedly.

A warm and pleasant morning.

Another busy day at Tattersalls yesterday saw us bring home three lots including a colt by Invincible Spirit out of the Group 3-winning mare Lixirova and he is an exciting sort. I am back today looking for the final pieces of value in Book One.

Patrick Cooper dropped by mid-morning to cast his eye over Mrs Patino’s battalion including Prince Gagarin and Oasis Fantasy.

Opposition again shaped promisingly at Nottingham yesterday and Adam Kirby was suitably complimentary about him afterwards. He is very much a middle-distance type for next year.

We saddle one this evening with Tartoor seeking to avenge his narrow defeat over course and distance in the mile and a quarter maiden at Chelmsford. That piece of form looks the best of the established bunch, although there are a number entitled to improve. We haven’t seen the best of our horse either, mind you, and he is a worthy favourite.

Two declarations for Chelmsford on Saturday with Cogent (Willie Twiston-Davies) and Clarentine (Silvestre de Sousa) set to make the short journey down the road.

Finally, Otto was left unsupervised for five minutes this morning and he wreaked suitable havoc with the toilet roll. His face: not guilty, your honour.

Back tomorrow.

Ed.
