Tajarrob

We are getting towards the end of the Horses In Training sale here in Newmarket. Ours horses sold well yesterday, I was sad to lose them and some of them will be hard to replace but it will soon be time to educate the yearlings and I will start to dream that one of them can become a Champion.

Dubai Frame ran with promise yesterday on his second start at Nottingham. I hope he will be a horse that will improve next year when we step him up in trip. Agar’s Plough was a little disappointing but I hope that once he strengthens up over the Winter we will get him back on track next year.

We run three horses today. Tajarrob runs in the Fillies’ Novice at 12:15. She is a daughter of Intikhab that I like but she is very much a filly for the future and she should learn a lot from her debut today. It looks a competitive race and Scandaleuse sets a fair standard. West Palm Beach could never get competitive from a bad position at Chelmsford and she also has to be respected. Sir Gnet drops back to ten furlongs in the 3:30 and contests what looks like a wide open 0-70 handicap. Circulation was beaten on very bad ground on handicap debut and can easily be given another chance. Many are out of form but Choral Clan has put in two consistent efforts recently and of the outsiders The Gay Cavalier has dropped to an attractive mark but needs to break on terms. Our horse has each way claims back at ten furlongs having not appeared to stay 1m4f last time.

Our final runner is Conflagration in the 5:25 at Chelmsford. We have yet to find the key to him and on what he has shown he is up against it this evening. Etisalat ran well on debut behind a useful sort and looks the most likely winner with normal improvement. Rastacap has to overcome a penalty and is more exposed than most whilst Baileys Excel showed a little promise on debut. Wazin and Taoiseach are two interesting newcomers and this should be an informative contest.
