It was an excellent week of racing and the highlight had to be Enable’s win in the Yorkshire Oaks but Ulysses came of age in the International and Marsha did not read the script when getting up in the shadows of the post to win a pulsating Nunthorpe. The Ebor was another thrilling affair and Sir Mark was narrowly denied a big race double when Nakeeta just did enough to hold off Flymetothestars.

We had a frustrating day yesterday, Dark Red ran a fantastic race up at York when third in the 1m2f handicap. The ground was faster than ideal but he travelled well and stuck to the task resolutely and kept a lot straighter yesterday. We are more than likely going to try him up in class now and hopefully we can find some soft ground when we do it. Tadleel was denied by a nose at Newmarket in the 7f Nursery, he was pushed wide and ultimately that cost him as he was nailed on the line. Global Spirit was too keen early on in the 6f Novice and failed to finish his race as a consequence and Sporting Times ran satisfactorily up in class but the ground may have been a little too quick for him.

Miss Minding is our only runner at Yarmouth this afternoon. She is a well related filly who will need further in time and is one for the future. It looks like it could be a strong race and I am  just hoping our filly shows us some promise.
