Sterling Knight has been a fantastic horse for owners Paul and Nikki Turner, notching up 8 career wins in good handicaps over the past 3 seasons, and on the Thursday evening of Newmarket’s July Cup Festival this 5 yo gelded son of Camelot took this tally to 9!
In the presence of Paul, Nikki and all the family Sterling stuck to the task well, under a lovely ride by Oisin Murphy, to win at his first attempt over a trip further than 7f. Further to that he became Mr Turners first winner on the July course on what was a very special afternoon.
