SHARNBERRY could not have been more impressive when breaking her maiden at the second attempt at Lingfield on Saturday evening.
This Shamardal filly, who runs for the St Albans Bloodstock team, had shown immense promise to finish third first time out at Goodwood, and, with the fourth and sixth having won since, it was no surprise that she started odds-on at Lingfield.
She looked to enjoy the rain-softened ground as Kieren Fallon punched her clear with hands and heels in the last 300 yards for an easy three lengths success, and now Ed plans to look for something better.
