Mr and Mrs Newcombe, Mr and Mrs White and Mr Roberts with Ode To Paris
The weather has been milder here at HQ and it looks like the cold snap is behind us for now. Many of Trip To Paris’ owners have come to see us this morning and they are heading to see him out at grass after breakfast. Georgina and Mark Newcombe, Andy and Julie White and Dave Roberts have headed down from Leicestershire and they also have an interest in Ode To Paris and a recent Horses In Training purchase Zamadance who they went to see out on the heath during second lot. Both horses have been gelded since they were last seen on a racecourse and we hope this can bring about some improvement in the future.
It has been a quiet week and we have only had the one runner at Kempton on Wednesday. Oceanus was disappointing in the 1m Nursery where he had to be dropped in from stall eight and never got competitive.
Gloryette is our sole runner at Wolverhampton this evening and she goes in the 2m handicap at 8:15. She has done everything at the one pace recently and so we felt this step up in trip was worth exploring. She has a good draw in stall two and there is no man better than Adam Kirby around Dunstall Park but she does have to prove she can see out this trip. Both Hier Encore and Delagoa Bay finished in behind our recent winner Social Media here two weeks ago and they are proven at the trip and have solid chances. Medicine Hat has been struggling over hurdles and he has not been seen since January but a repeat of his Pontefract win in October 2015 would see him hold strong each way claims.
