Red Runaway defied top weight of 9 stone 12lbs at Kempton to win impressively under Gerald Mosse.
This game four year old gelding by Medicean was settled by Mosse in midfield and had to fiddle his way through the field before finding a gap and getting a clear, swift run a furlong out, galloping on well to win by a length. This is Red Runaway's third victory this year and he has increased his career winning tally to six. He is proving to be a versatile horse that seems to be thriving on the all-weather of late but who also has some great form on the turf as well.
He had a trot and a well-earned pick of grass in the paddock this morning and he seemed very pleased with himself!
