NATIVE KHAN, our Two Thousand Guineas third who was last seen when disappointing in the Irish Derby, has been roughed off for the season and will be put away with a view to returning as a four-year-old.
Ed said:"Native Khan ran well to be beaten only two lengths in the English Derby, but clearly Epsom took more out of him than we originally thought as he did not reproduce that form at The Curragh."
"I have spoken to the owners, and we have decided that there is not much left for him in the second half of the season, apart from taking on the very best, so we have drawn stumps for the year and will bring him back next season. We always thought that he would make an even better four-year-old anyway, so, hopefully, there is still plenty to look forward to next summer."
