Winter is definitely upon us in Newmarket as we enter the month of Christmas and look forward to the start of the New Year and new season.
It was fairly busy last week at La Grange as we sent out three runners to three different all-weather tracks. They all put in good performances highlighted by Juan Les Pins' first run for the stable where he was beaten only by a nose in a competitive affair at Newcastle. He looks an exciting horse for the future and I look forward to planning his next outing. Red Verdon also ran another great race under a 7lb penalty to finish fourth in a Listed race at Kempton and Zankala put in an improved second run at Lingfield showing promise.
We also had to deal with our first snow day of the year and luckily for us with the new addition of the round sand canter, we could get every horse exercised and didn’t have to risk the dangerous conditions on the heath.
It looks to be a quiet week this week with only a few horses entered up and I will keep you updated as to our progress.
All the Best,
Ed
