Global Humor
It is overcast here at HQ but we have not had any rain. The July meeting is fast approaching and looking at the long range forecast, it is likely to be run on fast ground.
We ran eight horses on Saturday and Tadleel got his head in front at the July Course when showing a determined attitude to win the 7f Novice. Red Verdon was fourth in The Fred Archer, he would have finished a couple of lengths closer had he not been squeezed up but he was still slightly disappointing as he travelled very well into the business end of the race. Mudallel was fourth at Chester, he looked like he would finish second and then he failed to finish his race. Michael’s Mount had a wide trip at Chester and this told late on when he faded to finish fifth.
Enola did not enjoy the ground at Lingfield and finished sixth whilst Indian Warrior ran a little flat when third in the 5f Novice and we will give him a short-break and freshen him up. Ruysch ran a very promising race when fourth at Doncaster on debut and I was very pleased with her.
We run two horses today. Red Master did not face the blinkers when disappointing on handicap debut at Windsor. I would have preferred the ground to be slower at Pontefract but I hope he runs a better race with the cheek-pieces on in the 1m4f handicap at 3:30. Global Humor ran a promising race on debut and seemed to get a little lost when making his challenge on the far-side of the track. I am sure the step up in trip to 7f will be in his favour and he has a good draw in stall two. The two main dangers look to be the last time out winners and Adam McNamara takes a valuable three pounds off of Indomeneo.
