Carol
It was a fantastic performance by The Tin Man on Saturday and it was fantastic to see my neighbour James Fanshawe winning The Diamond Jubilee. It sounds like he may well head for The July Cup now and what a mouth-watering prospect that is.
Global Giant travelled very well and was not beaten far when third on debut at Newmarket. He needs to strengthen up a little and I believe he can be a nice horse in the future. It will be interesting to see how the form of the race works. The first time visor did not work on Zamjar and he disappointed later on at Newmarket whilst Munaashid failed to finish his race off in the evening at Lingfield.
Carol is our only runner this afternoon at Chepstow. She is a genuine filly and I would love to see her break her Maiden today. I think a stiff Mile will suit her well as she has plenty of speed. There are only the six runners but it is a trappy race. Getna has shown a similar level of ability and this is easier than some of the races she has contested, Characterized stepped forward on her debut when second at Goodwood and Jinkie Pink was fifth on debut before disappointing on soft ground.
