Global Myth
Good morning from Newmarket. We have a quiet day in store on the racing front at La Grange Stables, with just a single runner at Kempton this evening.
The horse in question is Global Myth, a two-year-old son of Scat Daddy out of an Exceed And Excel mare, who runs in the Kempton Nursery at 7.40. His is a pedigree that screams speed (albeit his full-brother Mister Ambassador has won over a mile and a quarter), and as such we have gradually dropped him down in trip, from a mile on debut to six-furlongs this evening. He started over further as he has not shown instant speed on the gallops at home, but he was well-beaten in three tries at seven/eight furlongs on the track.
He did break alertly and show a bit of early pace at Yarmouth on his most recent outing, so we therefore hope that a drop to sprinting and first start in handicap company will see him in a more positive light. He is only racing from a lowly mark of 55, so I keep my fingers crossed for a good run.
All the best,
Ed.
