It has been a dry and mild morning here in HQ but we are due rain throughout the afternoon. I thought Big Country did very well to win the Lincoln Trial and both Second Thought and Dal Harraild both impressed in winning their Fast Track Qualifiers, they will have a big say if they head to Lingfield on Good Friday. Blair House improved again when getting the run of the race to win the Jebel Hatta and North America destroyed his rivals in the third round of the Al Maktoum Challenge.
Apex King is our only runner today and he runs in the 6:45 at Chelmsford. He is returning from a near sixth month break and I would expect him to improve for this reappearance. It would be nice to see some spark from him so that we can have some encouragement for the future and he is in good form at home. Some of his rivals such as Qaffaal, Able Jack and Towerlands Park all have the benefit of a recent run and although Able Jack is stepping up in class, he is the only last time out winner in the field. A lot of the field have something to prove and the consistent Take The Helm is returning from a long layoff. First Selection boasted very smart form at two and if he is wound up from a long break he would be a dangerous opponent.
