Letaba got off the mark for his 4 y-o season at Kempton Park on Wednesday night in the 1m3f contest ridden by apprentice Morgan Cole (5lbs). This homebred 4 y-o gelding of Cayton Park Stud has taken time to mature both mentally and physically and is very much looking like a more straight forward individual, passing the line in front for the second time in his last 3 runs.
Congratulations to his owner breeders who have stuck with him and we are looking forward to what the rest of the season will have in store for him as well as his 2 younger siblings who are in training with Ed here at La Grange Stables. 3 yo colt Skukuza (Blue Point/Shingwedzi) is lining up for his second start of the year this week at the Newmarket Guineas meeting and 2 yo filly Crocodile River (Oasis Dream/Shingwedzi) has recently joined us from pre training and will be one to see on the racecourse later in the year.
