Global Applause
Given that there are over forty non-runners at Newbury this afternoon on account of the dramatic going change there, I thought that I would let everyone know that Global Applause is still an intended runner in The Mill Reef tomorrow.
Mokarris is already a non-runner and whilst we don’t think that very soft ground is ideal for our son of Mayson he has run respectably on a soft surface and this race will be significantly easier than The Middle Park at Newmarket the following weekend. Legendary Lunch ran very well when dead heating for second with our old adversary The Last Lion at Doncaster recently over 5f but we did finish ahead of him on soft ground in The Norfolk at Royal Ascot.
The lightly raced Harry Angel could well appreciate the testing surface being a son of Dark Angel and Perfect Angel who is also an offspring of the grey stallion has handled a soft surface. Unabated needs to improve but he won his Novice on soft and conditions are an unknown for the rest of the field. We look forward to taking our chance in what looks like a very open Group 2.
