Ed with the workers this morning.
Not too cold and generally pleasant.
A busy work morning with nine heading to the flat gallop first lot and six to Long Hill second lot. Oisin Murphy came in to partner God Willing and Pyla and all went smoothly.
No runners today and no declarations either, although next week looks like it will be much busier.
We made 13 entries for Thursday including six at Doncaster. Sharaakah could line up in the fillies’ nursery, Island Remede the Park Hill, Qeyaadah the valuable sales race, Sagaciously the fillies’ handicap, Red Galileo the mile and a quarter handicap and Vivre Pour Vivre the mile maiden.
Vadamos was pretty devastating at Baden-Baden yesterday and Andre Fabre was particularly complimentary about him in the aftermath. He could prove a real wildcard for the autumn.
American Pharoah’s participation in the Breeders’ Cup Classic now looks pretty much certain, which is great news for racing fans worldwide and particularly good news for US racing. It must be doubtful we see him take on Gleneagles, but that really would be some clash.
