Becky and myself have headed over to Dubai for a long weekend to see our owners that are based here. We missed seeing California Chrome in the flesh as we only arrived in Dubai this morning but I thought he was very impressive yesterday evening. That will put him spot on for the Dubai World Cup, what a race that will be.
We had a new arrival in the yard this morning. Oud Metha Bridge is a good looking two year old son of Helmet out of a Pivotal mare. Mohammed Jaber has kindly sent him to us and he looks like a good addition to the yard. Six older horses went through the stalls today as we continue to prepare for the start of the turf season which will soon be upon us.
Justice First was slightly unlucky yesterday as he had to wait for a gap to open before he could lay down his challenge. A faster pace would have suited him much better so he ran well to finish a close fourth in the circumstances.
