It has been a fantastic week weather wise and the ground at Newbury today is nicer than we expected. The Craven winner was visually very impressive yesterday and although the favourite was well below his best, you have to think Masar can run well in the Guineas.
Global Wonder ran into one that found a lot of improvement at Newcastle last night. There is a race to be won with him. Agar's Plough ran respectably in a very competitive handicap at Newmarket and I think there is more to come from him in the future. Belle De Neige ran with promise in a very warm Newbury Maiden earlier this afternoon. She was slowly away but she showed some ability and she will know much more in the future.
Global Applause runs later this afternoon in the 5f handicap at Newbury, run at 3:35. It looks very competitive and A Momentofmadness is a very fast horse, who was impressive at Kempton. Tomily has impproved a lot over the Winter and Blue De Vega had classic aspirations at three. I will be disappointed if our horse does not run very well. He was very unlucky at Doncaster on his final start last year and if we can get him back towards his best form at two, he is a very well handicapped horse. There should be a good gallop on which will suit, the ground and track should no pose a problem and he is in good form at home going into the race.
