FLYING TEMPO, our first winner of 2013, came with a late surge to take the mile handicap at Wolverhampton under Stevie Donohoe. The son of Royal Applause did not have an easy task after breaking slowly, and had to sit at the rear of the field until three furlongs out. He was switched wide off the home turn, and Donohoe sent him to win his race with a strong run down the outside, gaining advantage with a hundred yards to go. He won well in the end, by a margin of one and a quarter lengths and we are delighted that our first flat runner of 2013 was a winning one, and also that it was our first success for Hong Kong based owner Mr Robert Ng.
