Very exciting for us all at La Grange to be having our first runner over jumps today! Three time winner THE TIGER will make his hurdling debut at Fakenham (1.20) in the capable hands of Paul Maloney. Rated 91 on the flat, the son of Tiger Hill has been a useful handicapper, winning over 10f and 12f on soft to heavy ground, so conditions won't perturb him.
Ed said, "Graham Lee rode The Tiger and thought he'd be good over hurdles, and I managed to persuade the horses owner with me, Johnny Weatherby, to give it a go. It looks a very competitive race. Leighton Aspell has done a good job schooling him, but on ratings he's got a lot to find with John Fergusons horse Chabal. But we'll see how he goes and take it from there."
