On the Saturday of Henry Cecil Newmarket Open weekend, it was great to run 2 horses in the Amateur Jockeys Cambridgeshire, a race Ed won 2 years ago with Global Art - ridden then by Miss Sophie Smith. This year Sophie partnered regular mount Lennys Spirit, on whom she has won 3 races this year and we also ran the La Grange Partnership owned Orchestra, ridden by Mr Fletcher Yarham.
It was great to have lots of owners at our local track, topped off by good runs from both horses. Fletcher came home up the stands rail aboard Orchestra finishing a very creditable 3rd and Sophie was able to place a gallant 6th after a very prosperous year for Lenny.
