It was fantastic to have a double on Saturday at Doncaster after what had already proved to be a prosperous week with a double at Kempton on Wednesday.
Musical Mystery looked vulnerable for a win going into the race with a mark verging on his career best. However he was given a lovely front running ride by Dan Muscutt, able to dictate the pace and see off all challengers on the way to the line for owners Angus Kirkland and Geoffery Bishop resulting in his 5th career success.
The second leg of the double was secured by Bella Bisbee for owner Nikki Turner. Half-sister to stable favourite, Sterling Knight, she looked a potentially smart prospect after winning on only her second start as a 2 yo but has proved trickier than ideal during the first half of 2024. However Bella Bisbee, in second time blinkers, was able to put together a sensible race and ultimately win comfortably under Danny Tudhope. There is every chance she can now build on this going into the latter stage of the turf season.
