THE TIGER recorded an easy win at Pontefract yesterday in the hands of Graham Lee. This gelding son of Tiger Hill shed his maiden tag on his seasonal reappearance in July and had finished a good fourth at Newmarket last time. Lee steadied him at the start of the mile and a quarter event, in which a sound gallop ensued, but he came there cruising two furlongs out and went clear in facile fashion to score by four and a half lengths. It was an effortless victory for the four year old, who was the least exposed in the line up, his jockey describing him as "a lovely, big horse" and the November Handicap may be on the agenda.
