The son of Champion race mare Ouija Board found his winning ways once again last night, under a great ride by Ryan Moore.
A 10 – 1 chance, Aegaeus broke well and made all in the one mile four furlong contest around the Kempton all weather track.
Setting a moderate early gallop, Aegaeus seemed to enjoy himself in front and this enabled Moore to dictate the pace of the eleven runner field. Gradually winding things up as he entered the home straight, Aegeaus had a two length advantage of the chasing pack. He quickened clear at the two furlong pole to win unchallenged by four lengths, for his delighted owners Lord and Lady Derby.
