Having already run very creditably this season in some big handicaps it was fantastic to see 6 y-o Arthurs Realm win the Class 2 Zetland Gold Cup with some degree of ease for owner Paul Turner. The 1m2f contest run at Redcar is a valuable handicap in which Oisin Orr was able to guide Arthur to hit the front a furlong from home after which he was not for being caught at odds of 14/1.
The gelded son of Camelot has always shown plenty of ability both at home and on the racecourse however at times has proved tricky get across the line in front. It is great to see he still very much has a zest for racing, and we are looking forward to seeing where this form may take him the rest of the season.
