The Johnny Hall owned Katie G became the first leg of a double on Thursday afternoon when getting off the mark in a first-time visor under last year’s champion apprentice Billy Loughnane. Given a positive ride dropped down in trip the filly comfortably got her head over the line in front round the Lingfield Park All Weather track.
Later that evening Saffie Osborne steered Royal Dream to a marginal success for the La Grange Partnership at Chelmsford back on his favoured surface. It was a tight finish that went the way of Royal Dream in a 3-way photo securing his 4th career victory. The 4 y-o gelded son of Muhaarar is proving to still be a fun and willing horse for the Partnership that will hopefully continue to be consistent this season.
