20.02.07 – Chris wins 2007 Stable awards
Chris Hinson was announced the Stable Employee Of The Year at the 2007 Stud and Stable Lads awards at the Café Royal in London on Tuesday afternoon.
It was the third running of the annual awards, which are sponsored by Godolphin and organised by the BHB in association with the Racing Post. They were set up to recognise the hard work and dedication of stud and stable staff throughout the industry.
There were five award categories and Chris was also winner of the Senior Staff category. Chris was nominated by Ed Dunlop, his boss for the past seventeen years and both he and wife Rebecca were at the awards to see Chris collect his prize.
Chris was delighted to be awarded the accolade and was presented with a trophy from Sir Peter O’Sullevan. Speaking about his experience from the yard, Chris said "When he presented me with the award I said it was an honour for me to receive it from him." But he said: 'No, this is your day and the honour is mine', and that's how I felt, honoured."
