SATWA MOON got off the mark at the fourth time of asking in a 1m1f Apprentice handicap at Wolverhampton this afternoon.
The son of Horse Chestnut, sent off at odds of 5/1, showed a commendable attitude having been badly hampered when they turned for home.
Jockey Ashley Hamblett settled his mount just off the leaders before making headway along the back straight.
Satwa Moon came there to surge between runners but the gap closed on him and Hamblett was forced to snatch up and think again.
Luckily Hamblett's mount had plenty in the tank and when in the clear galloped on strongly to take the lead, scoring by two and a half lengths.
