30-11-09The Yearling Colts 25th & 26th November 2009
Our first group of yearlings started cantering on the heath last week. The first few days were spent cantering up the town canter and on Wednesday 25th November they cantered for the first time up the grass, which runs parallel to the Al Bahatri all weather.
We have a nice group of yearlings this year which include a few familiar names, a colt by Kingmambo, out of Ouija Board who looks a nice type and an Arch colt out of Fraulein who has been taking everything in his stride.

Adam riding Ex Clear Impression
EX CLEAR IMPRESSION is a yearling colt by Dubawi who is owned by Mr Sultan Ali. Dubawi won three group one races including the Irish 2,000 Guineas, where he beat Oratorio. Dubawi is a second season stallion who has had lots of success with winners from his first year’s crop. This colt is strong, mature and a good looking individual who moves well at this stage and we are happy with the way he is progressing.

EX MARIEVAL is a smart looking colt owned by Bluehills Racing Ltd. The colt is by Afleet Alex who won eight of his twelve starts in America including the Belmont Stakes over a variety of distances ranging from six furlongs to a mile and a half. This colt was purchased at the Keenland September sales and like the others arrived with us a month ago. He is precocious, moves well and we are pleased to say very athletic.
ROMEO MONTAGUE is a very nice colt by Montjeu out of Issa, he is fairly immature which is not surprising being that he is by Montjeu. He will hopefully be a nice horse in the later part of his two year old career.
