12-10-2009 Thin Red Line on top at Kempton
THIN RED LINE Line gave the Ed Dunlop team a welcome winner when landing a 1m4f handicap at Kempton on October 12 .
The son of Red Ransom did the job well on his latest assignment and looked to enjoy the switch back to the polytrack surface at the Surrey track.
Jockey Paul Hanagan settled the 9/2 chance just off the pace where he got a lovely toe into the race.
On entering the straight Thin Red Line was full of running and travelled easily to the lead at the two furlong pole.
Hanagan kicked for home and he scooted a few lengths clear in a matter of strides, galloping strongly to the line to score by a length and a half.
This was an impressive performance today from a colt who has now won three races, twice on the all-weather and once at Pontefract on the turf.
