09-02-2009Dubai Storming wins his Maiden at Kempton
We were delighted to see Dubai Storming win his maiden at just the third time of asking at Kempton on Sunday. The three year old son of Storming Home, who was partnered by Jimmy Quinn, was a little keen through the early stages and had to settle just off the pace. He was sent to the front two furlongs from home and was ridden out to the line to win by an impressive two and a half lengths.
This was a pleasing result for Dubai Storming, who had run encouragingly on his seasonal debut at Lingfield last month. We will wait to see how the Handicapper assesses him before planning his next run but he certainly looks to appreciate a trip and hopefully he can progress from this win.
