28-10-2008 Izzibizzi Notches Second Success At Newbury
We were thrilled to see Izzibizzi back in the winner’s enclosure when she won the EBF Inkerman London Fillies' Handicap at Newbury on Saturday. Sent off a 20-1 shot and 4lb out of the Handicap, Izzibizzi was held up at the rear of the field early on in the seven furlong contest. Partnered by Chris Catlin, she had to be switched wide three furlongs out to get a run and she made good headway past the field. She took up the lead inside the final 100 yards and won by three quarters of a length to beat the consistent Just Like A Woman.
This was a fantastic result for the filly, who won her Maiden just three weeks ago at Kempton and we are delighted for her owners, Mr J Weatherby and Mr S Purdew.
