08-09-2008 Azwa wins her Maiden at Lingfield
A drop back in trip to five furlongs was the key to Azwa’s success yesterday when she won the Nutlery Nursery at Lingfield. She jumped well in the hands of Martin Dwyer from stall two and tracked the leader on the inside rail. She got a dream run up the inside turning in for home and having taken up the lead a furlong out, she was pushed out to the line to win by three quarters of a length.

This was an important win for both the filly and her first season sire, Haafhd. We will have to wait and see how the handicapper assess her victory, we hope that she will be capable of winning again before the end of the season.
