18-08-2008 Satwa Laird scores at Nottingham
Satwa Laird won his Maiden at Nottingham on Friday by an impressive four and a half lengths. He was held up on the rail through the early stages of the six furlong contest before taking up the lead a furlong out. He picked up nicely for his jockey, Ted Durcan and was pushed out to the line.

Satwa Laird made an encouraging start to his career when finishing third in a Windsor Maiden at the end of the July. We are thrilled that he has won his Maiden, especially for his owner, Mr Lamprell. He holds some smart entries for later on in the year and hopefully he will be capable of going on to better things.
