Alkhafif made a winning debut at Newmarket last Saturday when he won the Stanstead Express EBF Maiden Stakes. After a few early withdrawals, the field was reduced to four and having being held up behind the leader through the early stages, Alkhafif was produced with a challenge a furlong out and was ridden to the line by Richard Hills to win with a bit in hand. All being well, Alkhafif will head to Royal Ascot.

Temple Of Thebes made it two out of two this season when she won at Newmarket on Sunday. She chased the leaders early on before taking up the lead two furlongs out. Although she hung left in the closing stages, she ran on well in the hands of Stephen Donohoe and won the race comfortably from Nice Wee Girl. We will look at gaining some black type with her next time out.

Prowl made an extremely encouraging debut at Leicester in a five furlong Maiden. She jumped well and travelled nicely through the early stages. She made good headway a furlong out and stayed on impressively to finish third. We were delighted with this run and she should be winning her maiden before too long.
Arabian Spirit was desperately unlucky in the seven furlong Handicap and was just beaten on the line. He chased the leaders early on before making headway two furlongs out. He battled on gamely but was just piped close to home. We will probably run him back before the Handicapper reassess’s him.
