24-09-2007One Two Three at Yarmouth
Our horses were in fantastic form at Yarmouth on Thursday where we had a winner, second and third from our three runners.
Pinkindie got the ball rolling when he won the European Breeders' Fund / Custom Kitchens Maiden Stakes under Jimmy Fortune. He was keen in the early stages of the mile maiden but the race was run at a slow pace, which would not have suited him. He was pushed along to chase the leader a furlong out and stayed on well to win by a neck from the unraced Robby Bobby. He is a colt that we hold in high regards in the yard and we hope that he will be a nice prospect for next year.

Dancer’s Legacy was having his first run in Nursery company having won his maiden last time out at Warwick. He was stepped up in trip to a mile and was held up in the early stages by jockey, Tom McLaughlin. He got a lovely run through the field inside the final two furlongs and stayed on gamely to finish third, with just half a length and a neck splitting the first three. This was a great run and we hope to pick up another race with him before the end of the season.

Naughty Frida was our final runner of the day. She was held up early on in the six furlong maiden by Jimmy Fortune before making a challenge a furlong out. She could not reach the winner but stayed on gamely to finish second. She now qualifies for nurseries and we will wait to see what mark she gets before planning her next run. She continues to please us at home and hope she can win her Maiden before too long.
