14-09-2007 Royal Jasra wins his Maiden at Haydock
Royal Jasra shed his maiden tag at just the second time of asking, when winning the Racing Welfare Charity Day Maiden Stakes at Haydock yesterday. Steve Drowne was on board the three year old, who tracked the leaders throughout the mile and a quarter contest. He took up the lead inside the final furlong and ran on strongly to win by a length and a quarter from Pearl.
It was great to see Royal Jasra win his maiden as he had shown a fair amount of promise on his debut at Newcastle, where he had finished second.
