08-08-2007 Hip wins first time out at Windsor
Hip became our first two year old of the season to win on their racecourse debut at Windsor last night. The filly was ridden by Jimmy Fortune and she took advantage of the rail to chase the leaders in the early stages of the six furlong contest. She was switched left with a furlong and a half left to travel and she ran on well to take up the lead close to home. She responded well to pressure and won by a length and a quarter from Street Star.

Hip
Hip is homebred by the hugely successful Chevely Park Stud. She is by Pivotal out of Hypnotize, who won at two years and is closely related to Dazzle, who won the Cherry Hinton Stakes and was third in the 1000 Guineas.
We were delighted to see her win and she will probably have a short break now before being stepped up to seven furlongs next time out.
