Montpellier was back in winning form at Kempton yesterday when the four year old gelding won the London Mile Qualifier. He was held up in the early stage of the mile contest but was always travelling well in hands of Jimmy Fortune.
He was eased up to press the leaders two furlongs out before taking up the lead inside the final furlong. He was pushed out to win the race by a length and a quarter from Unshakable.
