18-04-2007 First Double on the Turf for Dunlop

King Of Argos and Fort Amhurst provided trainer, Ed Dunlop with his first double of the turf season when they both won at Windsor yesterday.

King Of Argos took advantage of the strong early pace in the mile Handicap. He came through the field under a confident ride from jockey Jamie Spencer to win the race by three and a half lengths.

Fort Amhurst

Fort Amhurst was third in a Newmarket Maiden last season and built on that experience yesterday to take the ten furlong Maiden comfortably. He travelled well, again in the hands of Jamie Spencer and always looked the winner having taken up the lead a furlong out.

King Of Argos

We were delighted with this result and was a great boost for the yard ahead of this week’s Craven meeting at Newmarket.
