26.01.2007 - Dubai Double
Munaddam and Tabadul got Ed Dunlop Racing off to a flying start in Dubai and provided Ed with an unforgettable double at the Dubai Racing Carnival when they both won on their debuts in the desert.
The double was started off with an explosive display of acceleration from Munaddam under Richard Hills. Drawn thirteen of fourteen in the 6f Handicap, the gelding was dropped out and was last turning into the home straight. A confident Hills weaved Munaddam through the field and he showed a great turn of foot to get on the inside rail and beat Mac Love by three quarters of a length.

Trainer Ed Dunlop said. “It was a fantastic evening, both horses won very well and for me personally it was an evening we will remember for a long time as they were my first winners in Dubai. All the team have done a fantastic job to get the horses there in such good condition. Let’s hope that they can go on and continue to do well at the carnival.”
