08.01.2007 - Ektimaal gets Ed Dunlop Racing off the mark
Ektimaal gave Ed Dunlop his first winner as a public trainer on Saturday when winning the Digibet Franchising Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
Jamie Spencer was on board the Bahamian Bounty gelding who tracked the favourite, Lopinot in the early stages of the seven furlong contest. He took up the lead inside the final furlong and Spencer pushed his mount out to win by a length.

Ektimaal
It was Ektimaal's first run in the colours of The Serendipity Partnership, having previously been owned by Hamdam Al Maktoum. Five of the thirteen partners involved in the partnership were there to cheer Ektimaal home. It was an extra special win to all those involved as not only was it Ed’s first winner, but it was also the Partnership’s first winner.
Congratulations to all those involved in The Serendipity Partnership and we look forward to seeing Ektimaal back on the track in the near future.
